Welcome to the African School of Governance Library

Brief on ASG Library

The African School of Governance (ASG) Library is established as a cornerstone of academic excellence and policy research in Africa. Founded alongside the inception of the African School of Governance (ASG), the library was envisioned as a strategic resource center to support the institution’s mission of cultivating ethical leadership, governance innovation, and public sector transformation across the continent. Housed in a modest facility with a limited collection of governance-related texts, the library is growing into a modern, multidisciplinary hub. In the coming years, it will expanded its holdings to include thousands of print volumes, digital resources, policy documents, and archival materials relevant to African governance, law, economics, and public administration. The ASG Library is embracing technological advancement, integrating digital repositories, e-resources, and open access platforms to ensure equitable access to knowledge. It also serves as a collaborative space for students, faculty, policymakers, and researchers, fostering dialogue and scholarship on governance challenges and solutions. ASG Library will stand as a beacon of intellectual inquiry and academic support, aligned with the school’s vision to shape the future of governance in Africa through education, research, and innovation.
