Research at ASG focuses on developing practical solutions for Africa’s most urgent challenges in the coming decade. Many key policy priorities in Africa are under-researched. ASG aims to address these gaps by prioritising research on African issues and amplifying Africa’s voice on the global stage.
ASG has established dedicated research centres that focus on home-grown innovations, African history, leadership, pan-African and regional integration, and the effective use of technology. These centres aim to drive systemic and institutional change across Africa.
Our faculty members dedicate substantial time to research, thought leadership, and policy engagement, concentrating on these vital areas. Students also participate in rigorous research, helping to position ASG as a leading research hub for Africa’s policy challenges.
ASG offers academic pathways for African scholarship with global impact, producing knowledge rooted in African history and addressing both local and international issues.
ASG fosters a dynamic research environment that advances scholarship and policy solutions for real-world challenges in Africa and globally.
ASG will develop independent research centres to address Africa’s current policy and governance challenges. These research areas will align with the school’s curriculum and faculty expertise, engaging ASG faculty and students in cutting-edge research directly connected to Africa’s needs.
