African School of Governance (ASG) on a Strategic Mission to Kenya
Nairobi, May 30, 2025 – From May 28 to 30. 2025, a high-level delegation from the Africa School of Governance (ASG), led by its President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kingsley Moghalu, will travel to Nairobi, Kenya, as part of the ASG Africa Tour. This Pan-African tour aims to present ASG’s vision, academic programs, and unique pedagogical approach ahead of the launch of its courses in September 2025.
A full agenda at the heart of Kenya’s institutional, academic, and economic ecosystem
On May 29, the delegation will meet with ambassadors accredited to the United Nations in Nairobi, the leadership team of Strathmore Business School, and officials from Kenya’s Ministry of ICT and Telecommunications. A high-level meeting is also scheduled with the Vice President of Mastercard East and North Africa, followed by an exclusive reception for strategic partners.
A major Pan-African Townhall with Kenyan youth
The highlight of the mission will take place on May 30, 2025, during a major Townhall event open to students, young professionals, and thought leaders, centered on the theme of transformational African leadership.
Professor Kingsley Moghalu will deliver the opening address, followed by a presentation of ASG’s academic programs. A high-level panel discussion will bring together:
- Professor Kingsley Moghalu, President of ASG
- Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, Founder of the PLO Lumumba Foundation
- Dr. Alexander Ezenagu, expert in developmental governance
This exchange will aim to raise awareness among Kenyan and Pan-African youth about the importance of training in public governance, rooted in African realities while embracing innovation and performance.
A press conference and a networking lunch will conclude the day.
A mission focused on regional cooperation
This strategic visit to Kenya will reflect ASG’s ambition to establish a presence in regional hubs across the continent, with the goal of building bridges between public institutions, universities, businesses, and civil society.
“Kenya is an intellectual, technological, and diplomatic hub for East Africa. It is therefore essential that ASG build strong alliances here,” said Professor Moghalu, ahead of the visit to Nairobi.
ASG, a catalyst for pan-African transformation
Based in Kigali, the African School of Governance embodies an African vision of Governance. It offers an innovative Master in Public Administration (MPA), aimed at professionals aged 25 to 50 with at least five years of experience, as well as short-term programs for senior executives in the public and private sectors.
Courses include: Leadership for Africa’s Transformation, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, African History, Decision Science, as well as thematic priorities such as Natural Resources Management among others.
Recruitment of the first cohort in progress
While the first cohort of the MPA program will commence studies in September 2025, an inaugural Executive Education short-course program is scheduled for 8-10 July, dedicated for senior African leaders, to officially launch ASG’s Executive Education programs for leaders.

A Pan-African Tour for the future of African Governance
After a successful launch in Lagos and Abuja Nigeria, the African School of Governance (ASG) made stops in Cairo, Egypt from April 28 to 30, 2025, and in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire from May 12 to 15; then Maputo, Mozambique, on May 26 and 27, before heading to Nairobi, Kenya and Marrakech, in Morroco.
The initiative aims to connect the continent’s regional hubs around governance, innovation, and the training of the next generation of African leaders.
ASG opens applications for its first Pan-African cohort
The African School of Governance is currently calling for applications for the first cohort of its Master in Public Administration program.

As President of ASG, Prof. Moghalu leads the school with a deep conviction that the continent’s transformation hinges on effective public governance, pragmatic economic policies, and quality education.
