The African School of Governance is beyond excited to launch its foremost internship program, offering a front-row seat to the inner workings of creating leadership education aimed at promoting visionary thinking and fostering ethical leadership across Africa. The interns will support the ASG management team working in ASG Offices in Kigali, Rwanda.

As a professional intern, you will be at the forefront of supporting the day-to-day operational activities, related duties, and general administrative functions in relevant areas at ASG. Our interns will collaborate with various ASG teams to advance our vision of next generation of purposeful leaders in Africa. More importantly, our interns will enrich their skills through learning from experienced professionals, build professional networks, and invest in personal transformative career trajectory.

We seek candidates with interests in diverse areas of corporate support and administration roles. The current internship opportunities are targeting individuals skilled in communications and outreach campaigns, human resources, information technology, and program management.

Who should apply?

The internship is open to individuals of African descent resident in Rwanda. For resident non-Rwandan citizens, possibility to obtain short-term temporary work permit.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Have an undergraduate degree.
  • Be fluent in English. Knowledge of additional languages such as French or Portuguese is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Possess other essential technical skills.

Is this a paid internship?

Yes. In addition to the professional development opportunities working with an international team, interns will receive competitive monthly stipends towards transport (to or from the duty station), meals, and communication expenses. Interns are responsible for their own accommodations in Kigali.
